The Greater Oviedo 5k Run/Walk is coordinated by First Baptist Oviedo. Last year had over 700 registered runners! This year’s race will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 beginning and ending on the First Baptist Oviedo campus in front of the new Worship Center. There will be a pre-race presentation of colors, National Anthem and opening prayer before the 7:30 a.m. race start time. Following the race, trophy presentations will be in the Hangar along with some vendors for your consideration.
Proceeds from this race will benefit the Michael Callin Memorial Scholarship Fund. Seminole and Orange County Sheriffs’ offices are graciously providing helicopter(s) and memorial and antique patrol cars. Michael Callin’s motorcycle will also be on display.
